Is there any way to help out with power and MPG?
Submitted by gooniac33 on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 - 7:28pm

I love my 2004 RX-8 but I hate the mileage. Is there anyway to get it to be better?

Yes of course there is. Get a different car. Just kidding. Unfortinetly rotary engines don't get great gas mileage. But you can increase your gas mileage plus horse power by getting rid of all that emissions crap they put on the RX8. Start by getting a cat back exhaust system. If your in an area were you don't have to have an emissions test, then go ahead and totally get rid of that cat. converter. Then go and get you a cold air intake to replace the stock intake that is choking you car to death. You might get a couple of miles to the gallon better, but you will definitly have more HP. Also if you want better gas mileage you can drive it like Grandma. But who wants to drive an RX8 like that. I hoped I've helped you out. Lawless
