The team of Jamie Bach and Guy Cosmo entered this past weekend's event at Road America with high hopes for a super outing....the home track for the Sportsbook.com/B-K Motorsports/Mazda team. Unfortunately, first lap contact put a damper on the 5 race podium finish streak for Jamie Bach and Guy Cosmo, as a GT2 Porsche made contact with Bach on the left sidepod as he negotiated the first few turns. While the damage was not extensive, it did damage an oil cooler fitting which feeds the transmission and caused the car to slow to a stop just past corner 14 on the 4 mile circuit as Bach was trying to complete lap 3.

Despite not finishing the three hour race, the team still sits third in the P2 class point standings heading into the Mosport round of the American LeMans Series, set for Labor Day weekend. With big events following Mosport, at the famed Petit LeMans and the season finale at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca...the Sportsbook.com./Mazda team is still very much in the hunt for victories and the season end championship.
