Ugh. While it isn't "Rotary" news, more of Mazda news, there are 2 recalls out there for our RX-8s, plus a whole lot of unconfirmed rumors about engines blowing here in Vegas.
The first recall has to do with heat buildup under the car while standing still under high idle.

Second recall deals with a casting flaw on the lower control arm in the front suspension.

Third, some people over on the forum are throwing around that 13-28 Automatic RX-8s are at the dealers' service shop in Vegas, waiting for new engines.
I've called my service advisor at Courtesy in Henderson, NV (one of the 3 Mazda dealers in the Vegas area) and she knew nothing about the engine replacment problems... More to come. |
