Another MX-3 Dying
Submitted by fatdex on Saturday, March 26, 2005 - 11:38am

I have a 96' 1.6 4cylinder MX3 that just dies when I give some gas. It's really annoying because I already replaced the fuel filter - and I've replaced the fuel pump 3 times since this started happening. I can't figure it out!

I think it's still the fuel pump, because it's not getting enough pressure - but 3 times now???

Someone was saying it's my injectors, and another saying it's an exposed wire leading to the fuel pump that's killing my car - A little help please...?

This really isn't the right website for this question, since this website deals with Rotary Engines like RX-7's, and RX-8's. I'd suggest you GTG (Go to Google) and search for a specific forum for your car.

Now that that's out of the way, have you put a pressure gauge in-line to see if pressure is down? Have you measured the voltage at the fuel pump?

Do you know if your injectors are all working 100%?
