Info-VISION Racing announced today that it will enter the Pettit Racing/Excellent Performance Mazda RX-7 twin-turbo in the 2003 SCCA Pro Racing Speed GT Championship, with driver Brad Flowers behind the wheel.

Pettit Racing, of Lake Park, Fla., is no stranger to the SCCA Speed World Challenge, having campaigned a Mazda RX-7 previously in the series with team owner Cameron Worth, including two events last season.

Flowers, of Info-VISION Racing, will drive the RX-7 with the support of Gump Motorsport for the 2003 season. Pettit Racing will supply engine and drive train components.

“The 2002 season was a learning year for both the team and me,” said Flowers, who drove a Porsche 993 in all ten Speed GT events last season. “The tracks and the level of competition in World Challenge were all new to me. I was pleased with our 2002 season, especially the professionalism shown by Tyler Gump and the Gump Motorsport team. Their support kept me on the track, and learning.

“I am excited about 2003 and our new found relationship with Pettit Racing and Cameron Worth. Cam is a rotary engine specialist with a wealth of racing knowledge. Our long term goal is to campaign a team of RX-8s.”
