(1973) Mazda Sweep Nearly Complete
Submitted by SuperUser on Thursday, February 1, 1973 - 12:00am

WIDTH=185 HEIGHT=90>From time to time, I'll post old Rotary News up here, and then archive it. Thanks to REPU Man--Toski Techfor submitting this gem!

The rising sun has reached Sunrise Hwy. and the only rotary-engined cars available in the US are now in almost every state.
Driving the RX-2 and RX-3 models is an extraordinary experience that sums up:
little engines, big performance! (Want to see my speeding ticket?)

There will probably be a Turbo Renesis, but we have to wait until the 1st batch of N/A RX-8's roll off the assembly line before we can even wish for a turbo.

"the RX-8 website"

Not Mazdausa.com's main page, agreed. However, Mazda is telling people to go to mazdausa.com/rx8 there by detouring their silly main page.

There IS an misenterpertation on Page 27... The design of the ports allow the exhaust gas to be carried over into the next combustion cycle. . . Eliminating the need for an EGR valve, and allowing any unburnt particles that are present in the carried over gas to be reburned.

Yes. I would imagine that an aftermarket turbo or super charger system would help out a whole bunch.
I'd say it would be almost a year from now before we see anything like that show up on the market for a reasonable price.
